  3. Pour the descaling solution into the water tank up to the maximum level.
  4. Replace the water tank on your Senseo coffee machine.

#2 Step

Start the first descaling cycle

  1. Press the on/off button to switch your Senseo coffee machine on.
  2. Place a used coffee pod in the pod holder for 1 cup, then place the pod holder in the coffee machine. Close the lid and make sure it is properly locked.
  3. Place an empty decanter under the coffee spout to collect the descaling solution.
  4. Push the button for 2 cups and let the machine run Repeat until the water tank is empty.

If you have a Senseo- coffee machine with a water tank of less than 1 liter, add the rest of the descaling solution to the water tank until you have used up all the descaling solution.

The first descaling cycle is now complete. Continue with the second descaling cycle.

  1. Refill the decanter with 1 liter of water.
  2. Pour the other half of the bottle into the decanter.
  3. Pour the descaling solution into the water tank.
  4. Replace the water tank on your Senseo coffee machine.
  5. Replace the pod holder for 1 cup with the pod holder for 2 cups with another used pod. Close the lid and make sure it is properly locked.
  6. Replace the empty carafe under the coffee spout.
  7. Press the button for 2 cups and let the machine run Repeat until the water tank is empty.

If you have a Senseo coffee machine with a water tank of less than 1 liter, add the rest of the descaling solution to the water tank until you have used up all the descaling solution.

All descaling cycles are now complete. Rinse the appliance to remove the descaling solution.

  2. Rinse the water tank under the faucet.
  3. Fill the water tank with clean water to the maximum level.

  5. Press the button for 2 cups to start rinsing. Repeat until the water tank is empty.
