Green coffee is a natural health ingredient full of benefits. However, it should not be consumed excessively. We recommend that you drink a maximum of 4 cups a day. If consumed in excess, coffee can affect heart rate and nervousness.

Other studies (in mice and rats) have shown that chlorogenic acid can reduce body weight, reduce fat absorbed from the diet, reduce fat stored in the liver and improve the function of the fat-burning hormone, adiponectin.
Chlorogenic acid has also been shown to significantly improve cholesterol and triglyceride levels in rats. These are important risk factors for heart disease.
There are studies on green coffee bean extract, these studies are called randomized controlled trials: they are the absolute reference for scientific experiments on humans.
One of them involved 30 overweight people and lasted 12 weeks.
There were two groups | one group of regular instant coffee drinkers, and another group of instant coffee drinkers with 200 mg of green coffee bean extract.
Neither group changed their diet or exercise habits.
The group consuming instant coffee fortified with green coffee bean extract lost 5.4 kg, while the group consuming regular instant coffee lost only 1.7 kg.
The percentage of body fat also decreased by 3.6% in the green coffee bean extract group compared to 0.7% in the other group.
Does green coffee make you lose weight?

1) green coffee can reduce the formation of glucose from glycogen in the liver and this thanks to the involvement of chlorogenic acid, scientific studies are still ongoing because this compound, which is found in good concentration in green coffee, could have positive effects on obesity-related co-morbidities by reducing insulin resistance and the increase of fat in the liver.
2) Green coffee would also have the ability to act on the intestinal mucosa and reduce the proportion of sugar absorbed.

Are green coffee beans safe for weight loss
As we said, green coffee contains a large amount of caffeine. This alkaloid is known for its stimulating properties. In concrete terms, consuming coffee half an hour after ingestion and for a few hours (4 to 6 on average) will accelerate your metabolism and thus consume calories, drawing them if necessary from your fat reserves.
But above all, for reasons that are still poorly known but which have been observed in laboratories, green coffee can combat steatosis of the liver, a serious and chronic disease that is developing at a rapid rate throughout the western world due to excessive sugar consumption. Sugars of all kinds are used on a massive scale by the food industry to improve the taste but also the shelf life of processed products.
For example, sugar is found in canned food, vacuum-packed ham, and aperitif cakes, and can easily be consumed more than is necessary without even noticing it, even when eating salty food. However, in excess, the sugar turns into fat in the form of triglycerides which not only make you fat but also wear out and damage your liver.
Every year there are millions of cases (an estimated six million in France alone) of people suffering from hepatic steatosis, which is nothing less than cirrhosis that can be triggered even when you don’t drink a drop of alcohol. In Europe and the United States, it is known as soda disease.
